Hi, I am after similar information! Can anyone tell me the correct Smiths Speedo for my 1961 Dominator 99? I have just bought a speedo marked 'SC 3305/17 1620' which looks right and is in good condition but I have been unable to find any information to verify.

These speedos, in good condition, seem as rare as hens teeth! I have tried an Indian replicac which was rubbish and went straight in the bin!

Can any owner of a 1961 Dominator 88/99with the original speedometerdo me a favour? I have just fitted a Smiths speedo'SC 3305/17 1620' which looks great!. I am interested if it is the correct configuration, the listing supplied by Roland above has'SC 3303/17' as the correct instrument.

My speedo is a 120MPH unit with the 0mph and 120mph at the bottom. Some I have found on the internet have the 0/120 at the top and I have not been able to decode the Smiths numbering system!!?

I think my speedo is the original 1961 99SS item and it is 3303/17 with 0 and 120 at the top.

There are a lot of new faces for Chronometric instruments available on eBay, and a vendor based in Argentina might silkscreen one for you to convert yours - worth asking him if you are

keen!

What does the subscript number refer to on the speedo face?

For instance on my Model 50 the numbers look like this:

S3303/17

1548

Don says that his 99 reads:

S3303/17

1620

Thanks, Mike
