An odd query that hopefully someone might have an answer for.
The slimline ES2 I have left Nortons in a batch headed for the RAC and was registered in March 1962 in the Inverness area. Obviously it got knitted out with the RAC sidecar.
The current V5C shows it was 'first registered' in 1986 (as a solo) but colleagues in BNOC explained that the DVLA used this technique if tax had lapsed.
I would love to fill in the gaps....does anyone have any RAC info from that period.
At present I only know of the last two previous owners which goes back to early 2000's, so there are some big gaps....I'm trying DVLA for past history but not too hopeful.
Apologies if this sounds vague and not exactly technical but I'm grasping at straws somewhat.
