Does anyone have suggestions for a startring point on jet sizes on Combat Commando with Mk.ll Amals & velocity stacks , 2S cam , reverse cone silencers (!) . Many thanks

I presume you are talking about a twin carb setup in which case the jets and slide will be the same as the old Mk1 concentric ie 220 main jet, No 3 slide, 106 needle jet. The velocity stacks will tend to make it run lean so raise the needle. the main jet only starts to take effect in the top half on the rev range though all settings overlap to a certain extent. you may try a 230 main jet.

If it's a single carb 34mm, 25 pilot, 3 1/2 slide, 2A1 needle, 106 needle jet, 260 main jet
