Jubilee Stand and Rear Brake Stop

Forums

Can anyone provide photos showing the detail of:

1. Where the centre stand stop fits on the frame and its purpose;

2.  How / where the centre stand spring fits (both ends); and

3.  Where the brake stop fits and it’s purpose.  mine is a 59 model.  thanks

Hi Michael,

I'd love to see some photos of the main stand from members too, my Navigator main stand tends to flop a bit when retracted and when I crawl under (oh my poor knees!) I can see that someone in the distant past has modified the spring arrangement - probably not for the better.  Similarly I have a brake stop bracket in a drawer and no clue how/where/why to fit it!

I'll probably invest in the correct parts for the main stand and have attached photos of the relevant pages of the Parts List if that helps you any?

Good luck!

Hope these might help although this is a later year (65), the stand & brake stop are the same except for the stand spring loop and spring which is slightly different on the earlier years (pre 64 I think).

For the brake pedal you can see the stop mounted on the footrest and contacting the top of the brake pedal.

First of the attached photos of the centre stand from a '63 Navigator, somewhat different to a '65 model.  The curved link sits on a nut with a plain diameter that traps the link between frame and nut.  The nut is on the rear lower engine mounting bolt.  The stand (up) stop is, I think. self explanatory. The parts list suggests that the link/spring is in the other side of the frame.  I assembled like this because the primary chain case was in the way of the lower engine mounting bolt. The other photo shows the brake pedal stop.  I guessed how it should be fitted.  When I bought the bike it was tucked out of the way doing nothing.   Again, the parts list suggest its fitted differently. Hope this helps.
