I'm hoping someone can help me identify the model of some parts that came in a box of Norton bits. Front wheel spindle: 10 1/4" long. Wide end is 13/16" x 2 3/4". Centre shaft is 6 1/2" x 11/16. Thread end is 1" x 9/16 18tpi. Also a brake cam that looks the same as fwh 8" brake cam but the 9/16" shaft is longer at 1 3/4". 26tpi threaded end. Would be grateful for info.Thanks.

Hi Maurice, from your pics it looks like you have a front wheel axle and part of a rear wheel axle, the front wheel axle goes in through the left hand fork leg (the one with the pinch bolt) continuethrough the wheel hub and out of the right hand fork leg then fit washer and nut, lastly tighten the pinch bolt to lock axle (dont overtighten as this breaks the aluminium lug ).
The piece from the rear wheel is pushed through the sprocket & brake hub, then a spacer and fitted onto the Left hand side of the swinging arm, once tightened the rear wheel can be attached to the sprocket with 3 long bolts and then the rear axle can be inserted through the right hand side of the swinging arm, through a spacer and then the wheel hub (mine has the speedo drive attached to the wheel hub after the spacer).
Best of luck, hope this is helpful
Pete.

Thanks Peter for info. From the dimensions I gave do you know which model the spindle's from? It's slightly too wide a diameter to go on my Electra with short r/holders and 8" brake. Also I'm pretty certain the other part is a brake cam but not sure of model. It fits in rear brake plate but shaft is too long. Thanks
