Just going out on limb here. I Recently purchased some upright gearbox components for my 46” about a month ago and sent multiple emails about the shipment of my parts but have not heard anything in response? They sent me an invoice saying it was processed but never sent the tracking number as stated they would.

I’m not griping, but was wondering if anyone in the UK deals closely with them and hopefully they are “OK”? I know this is a part time business but just curious if anyone has any info on them?

If you paid by PayPal you should be able to get a full refund if you hear nothing from the company. Hopefully you,ll get an update or the parts before this is necessary.

Looking at his website, the ambition, presentation and intent is very good but a huge amount of work involved for a part time one man band in these times. Possibly the CNC, family and COVID events he mentions have been overwhelming. Chris Applebee who I was going to use for my Kawasaki rebore and crank rebuild has health and serious quality control problems and even larger companies used previously like H.T. Howard and BLR are no longer trading.

I have dealt with them a few times and found their service to be excellent. No problems getting items down to Oz.

If I were you, I'd contact them.  They might not have tied your payment to your order.  Tell them what you paid, how and when. And, of course, your name and address!

A similar thing happened to me.  It's a small operation without the benefit of an IT department.  We are so used to Amazon goods turning up in less than a day.  Amazon doesn't go on hold for one family's domestic reasons!

I've only used them a few times but always had good service.

I met Paul a couple of years ago at Founder's day. I was wearing one of his Norton T shirts I'd bought from his site and he introduced himself. Seems a decent straight guy.

Hope you get your order sorted.

Hi Nathan,

I have known Paul as a friend for over 30 years and would have no hesitation in recommending him both personally and in business. Both Paul and I raced our Norton singles with the VMCC and he had a close friendship with Titch Allen, founder of the VMCC.

Paul is fastidious in the reproduction of his products and doesn't take short cuts with quality. He is employed in a regular day job, with his daughter doing most of the day to day Norton parts dispatch. I know she has on-going health issues and with possibly no back-up, your order may be delayed. Another issue, as Neill says, may be external supplies. If he orders small quantities he will be at the bottom of the list. You should have no worries regarding any payment you might have made.

I finally reached Paul and he sure is a gentleman! I have definitely nothing bad to say at all and we have everything worked out.

I will definitely do business in the future! I was just curious if all was well on their end.

thank you for all the help.

Remember, there are still an awful lot of parcels stuck in storage areas that RM used prior to Christmas, I suspect these will be the last areas to clear the back log of parcels.
