seat and mudguard mid 30s

Forums

I have enclosed a photo of the seat adoption that was recommended by this forum. Seems to work well. Also have enclosed a picture of the rear mudguard. It has 2 inserts and a hole for the bolt. Does this look accurate? This bike seems to be a mixture of many models!

The number plate fixing and thus tail piece changed for 1936 or so...yours looks like this type. I don't recognise the central hole. The tail should be retained by a strip with two threaded holes that clamps behind the folded edge and only needs to be loosened to release. There are two pins in the rolled edges which act as guides.

The rather crudely cut openings in the flange seem to be an original feature.

Can you please send me a diagram of the metal strip?
