Where can I purchase dzus fasteners for the Jubilee deluxe side panals, what size do I require.
A couple of the dzus wire attachments on the frame are broken, other than welding is there any other way of repairing them.
Thanks
John.

The cheapest place that I know of is LAS Aerospace (REALLY!) Dzus were effectively invented for aircraft and LAS sell them certificated - so you really will be able to fly legally Here's a link - http://www.lasaero.com/site/products/article?id=A020X29YL Their prices are virtually pennies compared to pounds from bike spares people. I have certificated stainless tying wire 20SWG at about £7 for 100yds when I bought it! Just enough for a Norton then!
I also found it useful for wiring up steel mesh panels to make a garden incinerator - AND I'm allowed to legally fly it

PS. Just a quick skim through my Light Twins parts list shows that you need 2 x DZUS A6-60 for sidepanel to frame; 6 x A6-35 side panel to frame; 6 x A6 wire circlips and 6 springs for tail portion and frame. Not sure about these as I haven't fitted them to my Navi D/L yet.

You gave the sizes for the dzus fasteners. Do you know what size the springs are.
Doe las Aerospace deal with the public for small amounts.
Thanks

Try your local airport that houses private airplanes. Dzus fasteners are used in abundance. They should be able to tell you where the suppliers are.

Hello John, By coincidence…
Hello John,
By coincidence I emailed lasaero.com a few days and got a courteous prompt reply stating that these sizes of Dzus fasteners are now obsolete and they are out of stock. At this point they could not say if they were ever likely to obtain further supplies. Could I mention a small correction to the quantities quoted by Lionel- I think it should be 4 x A6 - 35 and 2 x A6 - 60.
I don't know of any other likely supplier but possibly your local private airfield might know something useful.
Patrick.

Hello John I also have tried to find the correct dzus fasteners but couldn't, I have opted for the modern type fitting that has a nutsert and a wrap around piece of steel, I think they are called chimney nuts, I have then bought some large headed stainess m6 bolts that have the same slot as the originals, I have also bought some nylon washers to fit underneath.
Cheers Kelvin.

How odd that LAS say theses are obsolete and out of stock. They still list them here:- http://www.lasaero.com/site/products/article?id=A020X29YL The quantities I quoted for each type are as per the Parts List for 1961/1962 and per panel - singular - like wot I said!

There is information in the Norton parts lists, The slimline DL had more than one type . They can be found.
