Plug, grub screw

Found this, now I dont know where it goes,,model 7,, 1954, about twice the size of the timing cover plug, flumoxed am I !!!!

As you have given no measurements Iam guessing it could be an oilway plug. Have a look on Andover Nortons website at the early 750 parts diagrams (your models big yonger brother) Cranckcase diagragm, crankcase oilway plug Item 22 part number 06-7599 (NME 4590) 5/16 x 26 TPI.

Also Crankshaft Diagram Item 17 1/4 x26 TPI but from what you say maybe too small.

These are Commando diagrams but could give you an idea.

Picture is of extracting a MK3 commando plug which is a unc thread.

If your Model 7 has one it is on the timing side crankcase looking from underneath.
