I have recently acquired a rather nice 1947 (rigid) Model 18, but I have been told that the Dunlop Gold SealK70 tyres that are fitted are not really the best ones to go for.
My research indicates that I would probably have a better and safer rideon a set og Avon Speedmaster MkII (AM6) on the front and Avon Safety Mileage MkII (AM7) on the rear.
Am I correct, or is there something else I should be considering?
TIA
Ian

I don't think that there…
I don't think that there are any problems, more a personal preference from my brother.
He reckoned that the Avon's would give a better ride and stability, but the guy who does all my classic bike MOTs (a former British Motocross champion) reckoned they were perfect, but then he is a motocross guy !!!!
Who knows

Hi Ian- I am curious as to what the problem might be with the K 70 Dunlops. I have them on my 1950 ES 2 (plunger) and have had no problems but if there is something I am not aware of it would be good to know ! Thanks-Richard
