Don't forget......
Hi Russ,
Yes, thanks for the heads-up, and although Stanley Woods was a very successful rider, I am in Jimmie Guthrie's camp as the "Bestist" Norton rider. But don't forget the other top works Norton riders like Percy Hunt, Harold Daniell, Geoff Duke etc. etc.
By the way, another rider of the same period was Stanley Wood, known as "Ginger" and also, more recently, Stan Woods the Suzuki works rider.

Also...
...a later Jimmie Guthrie, son of the great man himself and ManxGP winner. Guthrie camp for me, thou reading Stanley Woods book he was also a great rider and tactician. An interesting one of the earlier period is Wal Hanley, "None more Brave" worth a read if you can find it...

Love Stan Woods. A master of tactics as well as a great rider. Too bad he said Guzzi was his favorite race team. :(
