gearbox pushrod too long

Forums

Had a great ride out last week, 100+ miles including a ride over Wrynose and Hardnott passes.

The clutch has never performed well, still dragging after new plates, several times gear changing was a problem with difficulty in finding neutral.

On my return I took it apart and realised that the gearbox pushrod was 7 7/8 inches long instead of 71/2 inches...….the spiral/Bendix gear was only just connecting.[laydown gearbox]

anyway a new pushrod ordered from NOC.

whilst it was all apart I have decided to up the engine sprocket from 19 tooth to 20 tooth, I think the ES2 should pull this, anyway watch this space!
