laydown gearbox - folding kick start lever with

That looks similar to the one RGM sell for the AMC box, all depends on the spline on the shaft.

I believe the splines on the AMC gearbox are the same as those on the lay-down. There's one of the RGM jobs for sale in the classified ads........

had similar problem on my single down tube 19s bitsa . i changed the gear lever tube for a 10mm stainless solid rod and welded on. so i could then bend to suit position .unlike the tube you couldnt do anything with.  thats a commando kick start in the photo but i cant remember what model it was for

That's a pre MK3 kickstart, the MK3 has a straight section to clear the silencer more and is longer, the RGM is even longer.

Yes, AMC boxes have the same k/s spline as Norton boxes

The gearshift spline is different on AMC from Norton boxes

hello the lay down box only had fixed  type kickstarters  it was not until the 650 came on tap we had folding kickstarters  then everyone wanted one,  the one in the photo may be one from Unity-Equip  race shop goodies  and parts for Cafe racers  and dreamers   yours  anna j 

I can recommend Terry Weedy. He does three different offsets so work out the minimum offset you can get away with  and go for that. I had one of his kick start levers on my 500T until I found a proper 500T type.
