Old dealerships in Morocco

I have recently gained ownership of a 1957 ES2, which according to the factory records was sent direct from Nortonto a dealer called Woodroffe in Morocco. It had a kph chronometric fitted & rh dip headlight.

Does anyone have information about the dealership or exports to Morocco, numbers/dates etc?

My old records of 1950s Norton Overseas Dealers do not mention any specific to Morocco. But there may have been dealers who acted as unofficial agents for single shipments rather than consignments.

The nearest that I have are:

Grace in Gibraltar& Central Africa Motors

Much further south are Diamond Cycle in South Africa

Typical..........no sooner do I post the above when out of the records drops the Dealership name of Woodroffe. Who between May and July 1955 handles the overseas shipment of 4 Manx Nortons. The Companies Index shows a Gordon Woodroffe as being a big name in shipping all kinds of goodies. With an Address in Regents Street, London and a Moroccan base selling the odd Roller and Bentley at:

S.A.R.L. Place Zallaga
