Belt Drive for Dominator

Hi Mike - All Dommie clutches need oil to lubricate the roller bearing between the clutch drum and the clutch centre. Oil is not a favourite of most belts. Some however will work satisfactorily in oil. Try Bob Newby , Tony Haywood, Norvil, Andover Norton etc. Most belt drive conversions use a Commando or modified Suzuki clutch. Once set the belts don't usually require resetting but initial setting up is so important. Good Luck, Howard

i agree with anna.the bob newby belt is hard to beat.i have three norton and use that system.the first one i bought seven years ago.

The bike I have just bought has a belt drive fitted. I am merely trying to find out what make it is and all about it, before I go doing anything silly. Just hoping it's a Bob Newby !

you never said you already had a belt drive fitted.you asked about belt drives ?.ask the right questions and you may get the right answer.A photo would help[ then members can tell what system youalready have] ...
