Hi All,
When kicking over my nearly finished MK2a there is a weird clunking sound from K/start area that only happens when under load with the plugs in, fine without the plugs.
It has new 1st gears and k/start shaft and pawl etc and a RGM belt drive. I have removed the primary but can't see anything rubbing.
I did find a 3 part youtube video of the same problem on a MK2a but they did not resolve it as far as I know.
Any advice welcome.

You're looking for something moving under load that shouldn't. I can only suggest that you get someone kick the bike over while you get down and look/listen/feel around the area where the noise originates.
If on centre stand, take the bike off it. Look for the obvious, like k/s lever loose on splines, gearbox bolts not tight. If nothing then it's gearbox covers off and check that everything is correctly assembled.
