3 bearing crank

Looking back on my PC last night, I came across a photo labelled 3 bearing crank.

I have no further information on it, but I suspect it might have been something Kenny Dreer had been working on way back.

Anybody else come across anything similar, or has any more info?

James Comstock did one using a donor Audi crank but the one in you pic looks machined all over, the Audi one had unmachined areas on the webs.

Looks like it could be the birth of the 961 donk, that has a three bearing crank.?

Hi Peter. Now I admit I know SFA about the 961s except they look gorgeous- but arent they 270 degree cranks, not 360 like the one I pictured?

Correct they are, but they still have the three bearing crank setup.

Probably explains how I found the pic in the first place, as I was reading up on 270 cranks around that time.
