Can anyone provide photos showing the detail of:

1. Where the centre stand stop fits on the frame and its purpose;

2.  How / where the centre stand spring fits (both ends); and

3.  Where the brake stop fits and it’s purpose.  mine is a 59 model.  thanks

Arrrgh!  I've just lashed out £160+ on a 'proper' new 22611 side stand and 22610 stud from the NOCshop for my Navigator, only to find that on fitting it the mounting lug rotates slightly under the weight of the bike even when the stud is nipped up tight.  When the leg is extended fully forward it's at an angle that can't support the bike.

Pictures attached - have I mounted it incorrectly?  Is there a part missing? I sincerely hope so.

I've just had my Navigator rewired to 12v with a Pazon electronic ignition.  I can't recall how old or what type the existing plugs are so will treat myself to a shiny new pair.  Question is what type would be best suited to the new setup?  The carb is stock.

I see elsewhere on the site that the original plug was either NGK B7ES or Champion N4. Would these still be 'right' for my rewired bike or is some change recommended?  Thoughts please!

Having got my Electra heads back from vapour blasting a close inspection reveals a potentially serious issue with the way the face of the right head is machined either at manufacture or by someone skimming the head in the past.  The attached photos show that the left hand head still has most of the lands round the combustion chamber and the push rod tunnels.   However, the righ hand head has been machined almost completely flush to the fins removing the lands around the push rod tunnels.   A careful check with a steel rule shows the face is flat and even so there is no sign of warping.

The piece of sheet steel wrapped around the steering head, (aka headlug cover?), on a standard Navigator/Jubilee.

There seems to be provision for three bolts fixing it in place, one facing forward and two facing sideways, just below the top steering bearing.  Are there any spacers involved in mounting?

A photo would be very helpful showing just how the cover fits.

One final question, should there be a rubber edging on the cover where it faces the tank?

After a productive day stripping and checking the Electra's heads and barrels I am ready to get them vapour blasted before having the cam follower guides and valve guides replaced.   

Having checked the NOC shop and noted they now have base gaskets in stock I noticed the part number is the same for the late Navigator and Electra.   Having an early spigotted copper and aspestos Navigator head gasket and a base gasket in stock I checked both for fit......and was surprised that they both fit the Electra perfectly!

In the quest to cure the top end oil leaks on my Electra I need a new cylinder barrel base gasket which sadly isn't listed in the NOC shop.   Does the navigator gasket fit or is it a matter of making your own?

At the Bristol Bike show today I met the seller who sold me the wipac headlight - I didn’t realise he had 2 more! Which means I have found another 2 if anyone is interested, the seller is in the midlands (or at the Bristol show tomorrow (Sun)) and they are £65 each.
