Is it a good idea to  add a ball bearing under the  clutch  pushrod as found with burman  gearboxes, I have just stripped  down  the  box to rectify  various problems  and noticed  the pushrod  end is wearing into the clutch  worm

Hi Steven,

Yes, you should fit a ball bearing inside the mainshaft. You need to put this between the clutch mushroom and the long pushrod, so shorten the rod to suit. This won't completely stop the wear, but it is the best method of minimising it.
