Triton Insurance

Hi all, I have bought a Triton. I naively called my current insurer expecting it to be easy to add it to my existing multi-bike policy. They said they need details of every single modification made. I am obviously unable to answer that question as I didn't build it. I obviously have the frame and engine details. I get the point that they need to understand what they are insuring but there must be an easier way. Does anyone have experience of a pragmatic company in the UK that I could approach please?

Thanks, Mark.

Robin James or RH? I used to use the former but have changed to the latter who seem quite knowledgeable.

Peter James Insurance is another one to try.

A Triton is a mix of engine and frame manufacturers so difficult to know what has not been modified ;)

If so what would be the baseline fo the model?  I would be weary of an agent who asked such a question.  Clearly not their field so move on

All advised above are knowledgeable of Tritons and how to estimate the risk/ value.

Hi, I have been away for a few weeks but thought I would post an update in case anyone else looks up this thread.

RH were excellent and provided a reasonable quote with the minimum of fuss.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Regards, Mark.

...result. As I mentioned I too found RH good. I feel Peter James may be going down the VCarole Nash route as last time I rang them I talked to someone who had no idea what I was talking about. Mind you that seems to happen more and more often these days.
