Tachometer Drive problem

Forums

My P11 has the wrong ratio tacho drive, I went to change it and it looks like the previous owner had bonded it to the timing case, as the threads were stripped in the the two housing holes.

So my question is; how do I affect a proper repair? Can the holes be filled and re tapped or should I just look for another timing cover. Is this a common problem that others have experienced? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Why not ?Helicoil/Recoil? it? Andover-Norton states it's 2BA.
