Dust cover off the 650SS, which is kept in a conservatory, to reveal slight rust pitting to the front chromed mudguard (again). While the pitting will polish out with a bit of elbow grease I know they will only return. Time to bite the bullet and fit a stainless one? Where to obtain the best one?

I did this 650ss about 30 years ago (now in Rodger Dudding's collection). Before the Internet I didn't know it wasn't sort of original, but I still rather like it. Hope the attached photo loads.Attachments

Although its wrong, it does look kinda right!!.Perhaps if Norton had not spent so much on special exspensively pressed guards they would have sold a lot more bikes?
