Slimline Model 50 for inspection?

Slimline Model 50 for inspection?

I have been working with Gordon at Feked Classic Bike Parts to get a correct exhaust pipe, and I have been having trouble describing to him the past problems I have had with the Armours pipes.

Is there anyone with a Slimline Model 50 that is willing to take their bike by the Feked shop for examination and measurements. The bike to be inspected should have the correct muffler hanger strap mounted on the offside passenger peg mount.

The pipe that I have received from him, although not entirely correct, is a well made unit. The tube thickness measures at .060" whereas the Armours pipes measure at .050" The chrome looks great and at the head end of the pipe there is a welded in flange insert with a thick mating face for the gasket to butt up against.

They are located in Blanford Forum, Dorset DT11 1DB

His phone number is: 0845 5190620

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

I know that the Armours stuff is crap. That is why I am working with Feked to get a correct pipe made for the Slimline Model 50. Amongst all your friends, do any of them have a Slimline Model 50 that could be taken along to them for inspection/measurement?

Where are the factory drawings for the original pipe? If you can get hold of those it would give you the right answer.

Bump!

Is there no one in the South of England willing to take their Slimline Model 50 over to Feked for inspection? Maybe an ES2 will do if Slimline.

Or maybe it is too cold/rainy/snowy to get your bikes out. Perhaps later in the spring will do.

Mike
