slim air filter for '55 Dominator

Forums

If you go on the Andover Norton main page https://andover-norton.co.uk/en and scroll down to the various models to choose from, the  Wideline featherbed is the middle icon on the top line, and is a very standard 1955 Model 88.  That is exactly my bike.  The picture shows an air filter - to fit this machine, it needs to be slim and compact, there's about 1-1 1/4" clearance between carburetor and oil tank.  So far, I have failed to find something which will fit.

If you search 'Amal pancake filter' on the likes of Ebay there will be various other options, but you may need to check dimensions and carb fitting.

The space available is around 1 1/4".  The pancake filter you describe is too thick to fit.  It's possible that a filter with the back plate (the side facing the carburetor) heavily dished would work.
