Rocker box oil leak

Forums

Hi anyone

I have a slight weep from the rocker box on my 1960 slimline model 50, as this is the only leak I have, I decided to machine for 'O' rings where the leak occurred, and re-skim the rocker box. My question is, should I also fit a breather to the rocker box, oris this a bit 'Belt and braces', would it do any harm?

I have tried to download a picture of my modification, but 'computer sais no!' attachment is too large. How do I reduce size of my attachment (it apparently is 1.35 Mb ) what ever that is!

Forfuture, ifyou open yourphoto using Microsoft Office Picture Manager, you can compress it.

Usualy when youview a pic on screenthe OPENoption ison thetop bar.

within OPEN is OPEN WITH; chooseMS O Picture Manager, thenselect PICTURE andthen COMPRESS option. (On top bar)

Several levels ofcomression offeredInormallyuse DOCUMENT as it retainsenough detail to view but reduces the file size dramatically.

Ifyouuse andotherOperating System itwill probablydoitfor you when you add it toa website...

Hi Johnathon and Steve

Many thanks for your replies, re my post.I took the bike for a short 75ml run today, and (touch wood) no oil leaks, did break my rear spring link though (Must be all the power!) but as I had a spare was soon on my way again.I didn't fit a rocker box breather as it seems not to need one.
