New clutch pads

Forums
Just changing the clutch pads and am sure that the washer should have a felt seal behind if I remember correctly and has a lip seal in centre. The washer can be moved off centre so that the gearbox can move for adjustment of the chain, but I can't remember how it is secured. Could someone please advise? See pics belowAttachments image-jpg

There should be a heavy felt washer locatedbehind the inner case rear slidingdiscand against the drive sprocket nut,( I don't know what stops it from gettingchewing up) The felt washer has part number #A2/493 in my parts book. This helps keeps out dirt from the main gear bronze bush and from entering the primary drive.

The sliding washer you mention, isactually two identical discs, riveted together with a gap between that allows them to slide back and forth over the gearboxmain shaft hole in the rear case, one side of thedisc at the rear faceand the other on the inside face, but appears to be missing from your inner case photograph. They slide under the shroud I see in your photograph. This set up is on my bike, don't know about other years, but I imagine they are similar/ thoughI've just had a look at 3 inner casesin a mates shed, and they are all different in one way or the other.
