Thank you for your thoughts on the TT carb, I plan to keep it fitted for a bit, at least and see how it runs with the megaphone pipe. Now, more stuff, f I may. What's the preferred starting technique. I'm ok from cold, with the usual big singles stuff, but what do you prefer on a hot or warm motor? Enrichener? Tickle? Flood? Throttle? I know they're all different, but generally, there's a theme. Yesterday, I stopped for petrol, one kick, no throttle and away. Ten minutes later I stopped to make a call and battled it for ten minutes!
Next up, how do I heave this on the centrestand alone? Wretched thing needs two people!
any lore gratefully absorbed
Thank you again

MyTT carb isconnected to a ManxspecInter with nokick start. Repeated starts arecontrolledby thegods butat60 plus there isonlyso many timesyoucanbump it; So the procedure isrigidly adhered to:
Flood itPull it back oncompression (inyour caseover TDC)RetarditNo enrichmentDONOT open thethrottle....Let rip....
Centrestand, needs a "rocker"toallow your weight towork in yourfavour alasIts not really viable as thestands are abit flimsy. Forastandardone I foundit best to lower thestand, holdit down with yourtoe, move backwardssoyou canget a good hold on therear loop, place yourotherfoot near thecenter line of the bikethenpull inthe lineof the tubing (i.e. ~45degreesto horizontal),just makesure you set the bars stableby increasing the damper a little, (they can get you intoa wobble right at the critical moment). Remember its apull, not a jerk, you just beensat forlongwhile andneedtoexertquite alargeeffortto get iton the stand withoutbuilding upforit..Watchyour back!
For me I use aprop stand, youcan get off and loosen up, thenpick yourlocation andinvite a spectatortosteady the machine.
Sunny days
