Monobloc easy start screw

Forums

I am looking for a source for one of these for my 1956 ES2 to aid starting but cannot find one anywhere . Any ideas?

Is it the screw bit you require that has the little lug on it that basically lifts the slider a bit to aid starting? If so I think I may have one that will not fit a new AMAL 276 I fitted.

Carl,

not sure whether you had the same problem i had. When Amal started selling the fast idle set up a little while back i rushed out and bought one to add to my newish 276. What the website doesn't tell you is that the thread on the fast idle version is much coarser than on the standard idle screw so they won't fit in just any old carb body.

I haven't yet worked out whether you could run the correct tap through the carb to make it fit, i have a spare (worn) 276 body that i may play with eventually.
