magneto studs

Forums

Hi, as the magneto pivots to adjust the chain, would the bottom stud need to be a normal stud, ie not waisted, as the other 2 are, cant find a decent drawing.

Thanks Marcus

No Marcus they're all waisted. Sometimes it's better to pivot on the bottom stud but other times I can get more adjustment pivoting on the top one furthest from the cylinder. It depends on the actual positioning of the mag in the bigger hole. Leave the one you're pivoting on nipped up but not overtight. Cheers, Howard

Thanks for that Howard. I must have lost one, ordered one now.

Don't forget to adjust for the tight spot. This is what pulls idler gear spindles loose.
