It doesn't seem to be an issue, though after about 1971 the rear hubs had a poor type of cush drive in the back wheel and mk3s have a cush drive in the disc rear hub. Unlike the Triumph that fitted it in the clutch. Strangely, the Rotaries have a cush drive in the centre of the clutch and in the rear wheel.
