With really rough 1952 ES2 chromed tank I plucked up courage and offered 'Vintageindia' (ebay) £160 for a new painted and chromed one which they accepted. Carriage was an extra £60 and I have just received it and it looks great with perfect chrome, excellent paint plus dimensions and shape being pretty much spot on (and they included a chromed fuel cap for free)......I've yet to test it for leaks etc but I plan to seal it before I use it anyway and it could be a while before it ends up on my bike......first impressions are very good but watch this space......

What choice is there? No one in the U.K. is prepared to make a replica, classic, tank at a reasonable price. The tanks made by Royal Enfield King are excellent, and they will finish to your requirements. There will always be someone, who will "Nit pick" minute details (usually an arm chair expert, who will tell you exactly what you need, but, not where to get it!).

If anything like the slimline mudguards I received, they only just made reasonable scrap metal. Not buying Indian again
