My think it looks like an Avon Speedflow 3-piece fairing, which is available for singles and twins. As you intend to use a Dominator engine, I think that any other Manx ( or in the picture probably a Comet engine ) fairing might not be wide enough for a twin. You've not mentioned if you intend it for road or for race. For road I'd recommend one with headlamp cutout, For racing, where a bellypan is required, you could either have a separate bellypan or a fairing with oil containment. Personally, I found it easier to take off and fit a fairing without bellypan. Making tending to the bike easier. A bellypan for a featherbed is easily obtainable and only need 6 tyraps to fasten. If racing, I'd recommend buying two screens. Usually, the fairing is fairly easy to mend, not so the screen.

Back in the day the prefered fairing was the Peel mountain mile.I presume that you are using a standard featherbed frame as opposed to a replica of the original  domiracer one which was about 7 cms lower and used shorter forks. TGA at.tga.co.uk offer the Peel fairing along with the Avon and Kirby fairings  at what looks to be a very reasonale price. Worth checking it out.

Looks arealy cool picture

Hey Mikael,

Thanks for your answer. Yes, i forgot to tell that i will use it on the street, so i prefer a fairing with headlamp cutout. Oh and by the way, please ecxuse me for my english..haha.

And thanks for the infos. Im really looking for the one on the photo, i will try to find out, maybe i will be succesfull... we will see.

hey charles,

Also for you, thank you a lot for the fast answer an excuse me for my late, was a bit bizzy. I took a look at google and searched some picture from the fairing you told me. I must be honest, the fairing is nice cause its, how they drove this time, its more original than the one i showed on the photo, but im on a ponit where i told myself to do a compromise between originality and a optical emotion... haha, i think you understand what i mean. How i already wrote to mikael, i really wanna try to find the fairing on the photo.

Yes i am using the original first wideline (thats what i have read) frame, with bolted backframe, heres a picture:

And i took a look tga.co.uk they really have a nice fairing. When i cant find the one on the photo, i could imagine to buy one like this.

I guess you've built it from parts from different bikes and years. Nothing wrong with that.  Some comments though. Obviously you could not have clipons since there is no indentions in the tank. Wiill give a comfortable ride but more difficult to tuck in really low. The rearmost tank rubber seems to be in the right place for the tank not to crack again. The choice of the late oil tank is good as the elephant foot one is prone to cracking. It also gives better room for the carburettor. Happened on my Honda racer that after a practice a fellow racer came and told me where the end cone of the silencer has fallen off. He had to duck, not to get hit. This kind of silencers needs needs a couple of pop rivets added. My main concern though is the exhaust pipes. I believe that swept back pipes will be needed if fitting a fairing.

Edit: By the way, in my experience from twin and single Nortons, they seems to go better with silencers ending at least below the rear axle. On the Manx 2 inches before.

hey mike thanks for your answer, information and tips. I learned the job as a motorcycle mechanic, but now no more. But i still got it as a hobby. I worked a lot on old honda motorcycles (i also helped to build a racer for the mountain in switzerland, was amazing, to be a part) and later most of the time on newer bikes, just doing some service and custom builds, nothing much interresting for me. But i always remembered when i was about 2 years in the garage i learned my work as a mechanic (a old man who was specialized for honda, especially the old ones and his wife who did the paperwork), one day there came a farmer with his car and brought us an old british racing motorcycle, i never seen something like this before, and then he asked us if we could make it run, so we cleaned de carburetor, the spark plug, checked everthing and put some fresh gasoline in it. After that we kicked it just once the 500ccm Norton Manx cried out his open megaphone, the tools on the wall startet to shake and i became a skin like a chicken (i dont know how to say in english) this was the moment i knew i found my dreambike, once a day i will have something like this. For me its a long way to the end, i have a picture in my head and i want to go there with my bike, i am thankfull for all the tips and appreciate all the infos and also critical statement, i will do it right and respectfully.

Sry for the long text... haha

Hello, and welcome, Roberto!

"the tools on the wall startet to shake and i became a skin like a chicken (i dont know how to say in english)"

We call that 'goosebumps' (Same idea as chicken skin!) :-)
