Does anyone know what diameter thehandlebars should be on a 1935 ES2 - 7/8 or 1 inch?

Insulated bars had two large rubber grommets that the bar passed through and which were held in a special clamp specially for this setup. To stop the bars rotating in the rubber grommets a bracket was brazed to the bars which extended either side of the steering damper and attached to top of forks.

Thanks Glenn that makes sense. I am getting vibration through the non-insulated bars fitted at the moment. I wonder is it possible to insulate them in some other way to reduce the vibration?

hi john the handlebars should be 1 inch dia they should also be of the insulated type that is a steel bracket brazed to the bars which bolts to the top yoke
