Drive chain

A 57 should be 1/4" although its not unknown for a PO to fit the larger size which often scars the box as there is not enough room, Non std gearing also turns up sometimes.

hello well my 650 manxman was fitted with 5/8 x1/4 chain made by diamond chains USA and I have a new spare one and the Same size is on my 1954 dominator witch is a TKR made in japan good heavy quality I use to race a model 99ss on renoud's chains way back in the 1970s ever had any problems not had any with My Manxman 650 ether So there is no point of changing to a lager size if you need new chains and sprockets give Rodger a call at RGM motors they have the lot including some Diamond chains witch are very good they fitted the same size to Indian Chief 1000cc back in the day and it was OK no problems the Chain-man told us its not the size its the quality of the chain yours anna j
