Anyone know how I can get the clutch spring nut off the stud ? The clutch is a 3 spring with centre adjuster, but the retaing nut is well and truly stuck in the spring cup on the threaded stud. When I try to loosen it ,the nut tightens up against the spring making it I.possible to unscrew .Now the whole thing is chewed up and short of drilling around it I cant see another way ? Also any pointers to stop this re occurring?

That was a good fix!. I got fed up with the silly std tool and bought a giant screwdriver at a boot sale for £6 , shaped and slotted with the angle grinder its now perfect in the workshop.

A Dremel? Your 'nuts are mullered anyway so, try cutting some flats on whats left of the head and using a spanner. If still no good, you can cut away the rims of the spring cups (new ones are available from AN and others) and lift the cover plate off that way. You will have better access to get more brutal with bigger tools. Known issue and resolution in Morini land.
As for reoccurrence, make sure the nut driver/notched screwdriver you have is a really good fit and never do the nuts up fully home - always back them off 1/4 turn.
Hope this helps,
George.
