Chronometrics lubrication

A watchmakers oil would be suitable

I use a sewing machine oil with no problems so far,applied on the end of a sewing needle to the main moving parts, then mop up any excess with a cotton bud. A friend who restores them as a cash side line sprays them with lanolin. Don't use WD40 as this tends to becomegummy after a while.
