I am in the US looking for a couple parts for my 1954 Big 4. What I am in need of are 4 bolts and 4 rubber mounts for the gas tank. Also what I believe would be 2 long nuts with 2 bolts to hold the 2 support rods that are attach from the frame on one side and to the 2 top front studs holding the head on. I am still trying to find a illustrated manual with part numbers for my bike. Can anyone also help me with this problem. I know it would help if I could put a part photo with a name ane part number. It is very loneley here in Minnesota US finding parts and finding knowledge on the bike.
Thank you for any help

Thank you for your help!!! With my Velocette LE and cyclemaster motor wheel the Norton seems to be a real challange. Even harder than getting parts Watsonian pulma sidecar which I will be mounting on the Norton os course on the left side.

Hi Dave,
I am not personally familiar with a 1954 Big 4 but in the absence of more expert advice I think the tank mounting bolts, rubbers and washers are standard for that and earlier models. They would be parts A2/275 to A2/279. These seem all available from the NOC Spares Service. If you click on NOCShop and then Spares. Unfortunately the system doesn't cater for part numbers but if you search for "Tank Bolt" and "Tank Rubber" I think you will find all five items photographed with their respective part number labels.
You should also find copy ofa 1950 Parts Book together with the later supplement to cover your model, but don't expect too many illustrations, these are Nortons !. Can't help with your head steady query but I'm sure it will be in the above somewhere.
Hope this helps,
Pete
