Arc welding question

This may seem a bit of a cheek, because its not on my Commando but has anybody ever done any welding on their bike, if so what bits must you isolate from getting spiked? I was thinking battery and boyer box? - trying to remove broken spark plug from my multi cylinder jap! steve

thanks for your replies chaps, no great joy, couldn't get enough weldpenetration on the broken plug end, only option , head off, a lovely way to start a fortnight's break, a real busmans holiday...steve
