1962 ES2 HT coil

On my '61 model 50 the HT coil is mounted underneath the tool tray.

Your '62 ES2 should be the same.

On the twins the coil was clamped in a steel circular strap that was bolted to a frame tag under the front of the tool tray just behind the carb. Can't see any reason for the single to be different.

This subject came up in August 2014 in a post entitled 'featherbed single coil mounting' by Niall Topping.

I managed to post a picture of my slimline model 50 mount and I suppose they are the same................have a look
