My early 1956 ES2 is an ex RAC bike, with all the interesting foibles it brings. I am not sure whether the width between the forks is standard, the width between the front fork mudguard mounting points is 41/2". Does this sound standard?

Thanks Ian - I think 1/8" is close enough. I was concerned that mine were too narrow and that sidecar bikes yokes were different. Will now order an Indian front mudguard for Christmas.

Just measured my 1955 ES2 and it's 4 5/8".
