1950 ES2 plungers

Forums

I've come to put the plungers back together on my ES2 and found that the springs don't fit in the new covers I bought. Someone has suggested I have the wrong springs which is entirely possible but as the old covers are pretty far gone I'd like to use the new ones. The springs are a bit coroded and rusty so I was contemplating replacing them anyway.

So Iphoned up RGM, where I got the covers from, and they assured me that the springsthey sell do fit in the covers they sell... problem solved. At least so I hoped. They then wen't on to tell me they are out of stock and some time away from getting anymore made!

So my question is this; Does anyone know of another source of these springs? There look to be loads of people selling BSA ones but I'm not having much luck finding Norton ones. If I can't find any I'm in two minds to take the plungers appart on my dads BSA (shhh!) and see if a set of BSA springs would fit,but right now I would rather find the correct ones.

Any help will be much appreciated

Andy
