hello these clips are standard for all bikes its a W shaped clip there should be four of them to hold the headlampglass in , yours Anna j dixon

Am wondering if it is the same as the clip used on Lucas MU42 headlights.

If I may, If you look, zoom âin on the bike profiles on my suggested web page it can be seen quite clearly these machines have a 2 part clip with screw between them, this seems to be an early type.

However web sites selling repro DH142 lamps show the clip type with rolled end to the rim.

The rectangular hole in your head shell is reminiscence of a hole for a captive nut, so it canât rotate, how are the actual headlight fixing arranged maybe there are similar. It would be a possible fixing for the clip end.
