1930's reproduction footrest hangers and engine gasket sets, where ?

Forums

I've been doing some searching for footrest hanger assemblies for rigid frames (not WD type) and also gasket sets for 1938 ES2 and 35 Model 18 engines to no avail. I can't find any of the hanger assemblies and the only gasket sets I can seem to find are for post war models. Any body know of a supplier for these items ?

Thanks Glenn

Been doing some more searching and found 3 places that seem to stock the footrest assemblies. Cornucopia in Germany, BMH in Australia, and Mcintosh Racing in New Zealand. But what's the deal with pre war gasket sets, they seem not to exist. Maybe you just have to buy gaskets as single items from somewhere?

The prewar OHV and OHC singles had no head gaskets - therefore there are none on sale.

Can anyone say when head gaskets did appear? By the 1960's the ES2 had an aluminium reusable gasket - when did that arrive? Was it with the alloy head?

Thanks David, I just assumed there would be gaskets there, instead I should have consulted the parts lists. Seems only sidevalves had them.

I am currently doing a pre-war inter engine. I managed to get some of the gaskets from Paul Normans site. But he specialises in OHC so I dont know if any of his stuff would be of any use. For any that you cant get you can buy the gasket material and cut them out yourself.
