Hello all,
Does anyone know where I can source a set of steering head races and ball bearings for a 1939 16H?
The set comprises 17 balls and two cups each for the top and bottom.
Norton parts listing Part No â 9256 & 9258.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi John
Have a look at http://en.vintage-motorcycle.com/index.php?language=en&site=4&pid=30&limit=30
They sell the complete top and bottom bearings to the Norton part numbers.

Ken McIntosh has them, two cups rather than cup and cone if they are as original.
New Zealand is currently closed for the summer so he may not be back on deck until next week??

Many thanks to everyone for the help and advice listed above. I have now ordered through RGM.
Happy New Year and safe (perhaps dry?) riding throughout 2013.
Kind regards,

Just to let everyone know…
Just to let everyone know that RGM Motors came up trumps with the 16H steering head bearings and races. Excellent communications with superfast next day delivery (ordered yesterday afternoon & received today), not a bad price either at £50 for the full set including VAT & P&P.
Many thanks once again for the help and advice with links posted above.

Hi,
I assume they are the same as for my 1935 ES2, which I also need. The ball bearings can be had from www.racingnorton.co.uk or www.simplybearings.co.ukor www.vintagebearings.co.uk. As for the cup and cone I don't know - if anyone does then please let me know.
Cheers
John
