Many thanks John, I also had a response from a member (PH thanks also) who put me on to Norvil Motorcycles, they have stainless steel adjusters complete with nuts in stock which I have now ordered.

I'm fairly certain that there is a pair of these on ebay at the moment for rigid frame bikes. I assume they are all the same?
