Are there any members with a 1955 ES2, single downtube frame, that can supply a photo of the rear brake pedal adjuster?
I'm on the very final assembly of a basket case, and I discover that I have no mechanism for adjusting the brake pedal itself. Tightening the brake rod adjuster, at the hub lever, just causes the pedal to rise up until it hit the underside of the left hand footrest. Then, obviously it just stays there!
I can see a place for an adjusting bolt, but not what such a bolt would act against, so a picture of someone who has the correct set up would help enormously.
The parts book I have lists part number A2/501 "rear brake pedal adjuster and locknut" but refers to a plate showing a rigid frame, so doesn't help much.
Many thanks.

If you need any other pictures let me know.

Thanks both very much for your help. Paul the lower frame rail, on the plunger frame, is absent on the swingarm frame, so I couldn't see what the adjuster bolt acted against. Ian your photo is a perfect illustration of the set up, thank you.

On my earlier model, butwith thesame part numbers, the adjuster bolt screws upwards through the threaded rear of the brake arm (lock nut on top) so that the bolt head rests against the lower frame rail.
