Tank and oil tank

Forums

Anyone have images of the paint scheme / decals of a 1934 16H fuel tank and oil tank with hand gear change?

I see the panel tank had a black panel at this time.  Did it have a red line (looks like there might be one inside the edge lip, but photographic film at that time would see red as black)?

The fuel tank red lines are outside the silver panel for 1934-37, and thus direct on the chrome.  Mine needs an occasional touch up..

The late George Cohen advised against chroming old tanks in case polishing made them dangerously thin.  I did chrome mine, but I wish I'd tried these people (a bike in Classic Motorcycle had this finish on its tank last year)

I used this https://www.riolettcustomaerosols.co.uk/2k-aerosol-spray-paint/   for my silver panel.  It seems to be incredibly hard.  No lacquer (just my opinion that it looks a bit too modern).

The oil tank has no silver painted panel on the chrome.  The red line is inside the black on the front face and side panels.  I've put chrome vinyl wrap on the oil tank.  I quite like it... it's not concours, but I suspect it might be if applied with more expertise!
