Hello No they were not in the Brochure buy then Norton were trying to bright up they looks and Black and Sliver was basic standard colour , but the choice is yours as its your bike, but black is no all its cracked up to be has not kept clean it can look real dull and dirty looking my white van is more easy to keep clean than a black van and black is not easy to match too has there are many shades of black . yours anna j

Peter, What's in a name?…
Peter, What's in a name? I saw a Dommie that was painted with a colour called Dove Grey and it really was grey but too late as Dove Grey is what the owner asked for. He could always pay again, I guess?
RAL1013, Oyster white to some and pearl white on other lists is the closest I have matched to the original. It is the paint code that is definitive, not the name!

Yes - the frame and cycle parts for 1959 were available in black. Mine was a customer options 'Special' with silver tank, black frame, twin carbs and chrome mudguards. The last of the widelines and dated July 1959 (Stamped on the rear mudguard, inside bottom). Neil is right -colour names are virtually meaningless. Look at Fender guitar's "Fiesta Red". "Fiesta" conveys no colour at all. It was coral/salmon pink in 1962 anyway!

My 1955 88 Dominator was supplied in 'Polychromatic Blue', which has been matched to VW A62 Calypso Metallic. Not sure how long it was offered for, or how many sold

Haha! I played a Fender Strat in 1962 and I remember it as being pink - I have an idetic memory for colours. Difficult to transfer them out of my brain though!
