Clearing cookies is generally the answer NOCShop problems

We have received several reports of people receiving server errors when trying to access the NOCShop. These can generally be resolved by clearing 'cookies' stored in your browser - the option to do this is generally found in the 'History' section of the browser settings.

No! I typed in my last order four times before it was accepted. NOC website and data manager, Dave was very helpful but deleting cookies etc didn't work for me. It is very tedious having typed in twenty items to then loose it all. Lifes too short i've got everything else from RGM. It is a shame because the parts guys do a great job.

It seems to be an intermittent error, Iâve had it sometimes and it usually fixes itself if I come back later! Usually after a restart.

I've no idea what might cause this issue, which I haven't encountered, but advising someone to clear cookies can cause them serious headaches â better to advise them to clear cookies from the NOC only if they can. Clearing cookies is a classic workaround that puts the burden on the consumer instead of the supplier, IMHO, although I think it's reasonable to ask the consumer to help in identifying the root of the problem. Rant over, respect to our excellent elves.

Hi, Try typing all your needs in aword document, save it and name it. Then log into the spares people and send it as an attachment. You can do this as an email too. Windows 10 is a problem for this on many old computers. You can also use Google drive, which works well on the Open Universities system. It will stop you losing it every time.
