Paddock stands?

Hi,

Any reason why you didn't go for the one Norton sell as an accessory for the 961? I always figured if mine ever gets built then I'd be buying Norton's paddock stand to go it. I now getting this sinking feeling that when you order and pay for a Norton paddock stand you wait 12 months for them to build it

The shop at Nortons has been out of paddock stands for months, you would think they would want to sell aftermarket goodies, ie tu paint, carbonbits, handbook with all the pages!

Hi Malcolm,

Just had puncture in rear tyre of my 961 sport, My paddock stand was the wrong type with lifting pads, you need bobbins. Have bought Oxford paddock stand which has both lifting pads and the lifting forks, bobbins which are an extra, fitted bobbins, lifted rear end an extracted wheel...Part no of Oxford rear paddock stand OF 821, Bobbin part no OF829. this has worked on mine. Provided you have the same threaded fixing on your bikes swinging arm, you will be OK.

Hi Kevin, Yes still waiting for my 961 Sport. They say I'll get mine middle of August now, I spoke to a guy who collected his 961 cafe racer 10 days ago and his deposit and full payment dates were similar to mine so I am daring to believe I might actually get it this time

Deposit paid Dec 2010 with a 'promise' of a spring 2011 delivery. Early Feb I was told by Chris W that I could jump on a vacant build slot for a bike completion date of 21st March if I paid in full now. I deliberated a while over various horror stories on here and the web but on 22nd Feb I bit the bullet and paid in full. Since then it's been excuse after excuse and I was clearly never going to get the bike in March! However since hearing from the guy with the cafe racer I have new hope.

What's your story Kevin?

You're well ahead of me in the deposit on the bike! not sure if the 'vacant slot' I was given and then my full payment in Feb moved me up the queue (rightly or wrongly!) or not, but I figure I'm best not holding my breath for mine anytime soon. "You're fifth in the queue Mr Griffiths"........ yea right Mr Norton sure I am
